The population of India is roughly 1.252 billion people as of July 2015. India is the second most populous country in the world.

Life expectancy: 67 years for Males & 72 years for Females

Literacy rate is defined as who can read or write over the age of 15. In India the literacy rate is 81.4% of the population in 2006.

When visiting India it is recommended that all travelers have up to date routine vaccinations. These vaccinations include flu shot, polio, and chicken pox.

Most travelers should get vaccinated for Hepatitis A and Typhoid due to there being a risk in India.
